PROJECT DESCRIPTION
INITIAL BRIEF
The client wanted to do an infill extension and uplift the rear aesthetics in the style of the existing property with a modern twist. Predominantly a kitchen extension with a 3 zone open living space with dining and TV/fire spaces. They wanted a porch extension to the front and to convert part of the garage for a utility/laundry space.
Existing property
The property was previously extended and there were a lot of questionable construction methods to work with. The street was a tight culdesac and in a conservation area so there were tighter rules for the finishing of the externals.
Construction
The project required a lot of structural work and a complicated arrangement of steel frames was required on new pad foundations to support the existing structure. Our team made a lot of on site adjustments to get the best heights for the steel so more light could enter the rear most areas. The floors were all of different construction and required serious levelling.
The Finish
Our finishing team really did deliver on the final details leaving the client over the moon with the result, a job we are all very proud of.
